This SL 600 6.0 AMG is one of approximately 180 vehicles built, which, although in the German specification, were only available for the Japanese market. The SLs differed only in the small number plate cut-out at the rear and the owner’s handbook containing documents in Japanese and English.
The original price was DM 219,090 net, plus approximately DM 60,000 for the cylinder heads modified by AMG with modified camshafts, reinforced drive shafts and brakes, and a sports exhaust system.
In return, the customer received 441 hp and 600 Nm of torque, as well as an engine that revved much more readily and felt much more responsive.
