This 360 TE AMG from the 123 series is a restomod that was completed in 2023.
The basis for this project was a very well-equipped 280 TE from 1984 with only two previous German owners, which was completely stripped down to the tubular body and rebuilt using original new Mercedes parts.
However, the new owner wanted a classic car suitable for everyday use with modern technology and opted for the engine from a C 36 AMG.
The braking system was upgraded to cope with the increased power output using new parts from the W126.
For the C 36 engine, the cylinder head was overhauled and a stainless steel exhaust system was hand-crafted.
All the mechanical components are either new or have been overhauled to like-new condition.
The project is extensively documented with photographs, and upon completion the bill totalled approximately 200,000 euros.
