Mercedes 450 SLC 5.0

In 1978, Mercedes produced a small number of the 450 SLC 5.0: the manufacturer’s coupé introduced in 1971, but featuring aluminium bonnets, a reinforced three-speed automatic gearbox and a new aluminium V8 engine delivering 240 PS instead of 217 PS.
The SLC offered here is a German-registered, accident-free and rust-free vehicle with a complete set of vehicle documents, all keys, on-board tools, a jack, etc., and a well-maintained service history book!
The very well-preserved blue velour interior reflects the excellent condition in which the entire vehicle has been kept over the past 40 years.
The original price for this 450 SLC 5.0 in 1979 was 75,045.60 DM.
The optional extras alone cost 11,541.60 DM.
By way of comparison, a VW Golf or Opel Kadett cost around 11,000 DM at the time.
