This 560 SL was delivered to Japan in May 1988, where it has had just one owner to date.
All servicing work is fully documented, and 14 service visits have been carried out since 1989.
The on-board folder containing all the original documents is complete, as are the data card and two original keys.
The 560 has never been in an accident, is completely rust-free and, apart from the bonnet, retains its original paintwork.
The leather interior is undamaged and in almost new condition.
The soft top is also in mint condition, suggesting that the SL was used as a coupé with the hardtop fitted.
With its 66,000 kilometres on the clock and its excellent technical and visual condition, one could almost describe it as a ‘year-old car’ rather than a ‘classic car’ over 30 years old.
