In 2003, the Renault Clio V6 Sport Phase 2 was one of the most powerful small cars in the world, with 255 hp.
With the help of Porsche, the power output of the 60° V6 with four-valve technology from the Clio Phase 1 was increased by a further 25 hp.
To convert the Clio from a front-engine, front-wheel-drive model to a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive Clio V6, the engineers had to make extensive modifications to the bodywork.
All exterior panelling is made of plastic and manufactured exclusively for this limited-edition special model.
Compared to a standard-production Clio, the wheelbase was increased by 61 mm, the front track width by 112 mm and the rear track width by 90 mm.
The chassis was developed specifically for the V6, as was the braking system, which now features 330 mm front brake discs.
Thanks to the O.Z. alloy wheels with Michelin tyres, also developed exclusively for this Clio Sport version, the mid-engined sports car literally sticks to the road.
Only 1,300 units of the Phase 2 were built.
