The C 43 AMG from the W202 series is one of only 3,085 vehicles built worldwide. By comparison, 583,514 C 180s were sold.
The W202 series was the first C-Class and the successor to the 190 ‘Baby-Benz’.
Towards the end of the model cycle, a 4.3-litre V8 engine producing 306 hp was fitted into this compact body. This was complemented by an AMG styling package, sports suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, brakes from the SL 600, a sports exhaust system, sports seats and a sports steering wheel.
The base price was then 115,420.00 DM.
This C 43 on offer here, with a number of optional extras, had a list price of 123,766.20 DM. By way of comparison, a C 200 CDI cost 48,024 DM at the time.
